On a modern and comfortable boat you will discover the northern part of the lake, the so-called “Alto Lario” (Upper Lario). This area is often missed by the tourists, but this doesn’t mean there’s nothing to see!
The first stop will be GRAVEDONA: where you can explore the ancient streets until the “sacred area”. Here there is one of the most important Romanesque monuments of the Lake Como area, the ancient baptistry Santa Maria del Tiglio (St. Mary of the Lime-tree), built in the 12th century.
An easy walking tour on the lakeside will let you admire Palazzo Gallio, imposing noble building, until you’ll reach the “Belvedere”, that is, a panoramic point over the gulf of Gravedona and the lake.
After getting on the boat again, you’ll cross the lake to reach the Abbey of Piona. Here you can visit the church and the cloister. There will be the possibility of buying the herbs-teas and alcoholic drinks produced by the monks in the small shop near the abbey.
As is not always possible to stop at the abby you can also stop for a refreshing swim in the Piona bay.
The whole itinerary lasts about 3 hours.
Possibility to have a touristic guide on board.
