On a modern and comfortable boat we will visit the so-called “pearl of Lake Como”: Bellagio.
After a one-hour cruise from north lake or from Como we’ll reach the promontory which divides the two southern branches of Lake Como: here Bellagio stands, in an enchanting position, surrounded by the lake’s waters. After getting off in the picturesque hamlet Loppia, we’ll reach the entrance to the Garden of Villa Melzi d’Eril.
This amazing place was built for a nobleman, Frnacesco Melzi, at the beginning of the 19th century: the villa, neoclassical style, is closed to the public, but you can visit the gardens, the greenhouse-museum and the family chapel. The garden is astonishing: about 10 hectares wide, it is rich in exotic trees and rare essences, and it is decorated by ancient sculptures.
After the visit of the garden, we suggest togo on to the center of the town Bellagio, for some free time to relax and to do shopping in the typical small stairways, where you can find local product and hand-made souvenirs.
Possibility to have a tourist guide.
